Transmit 2015

Transmit is the educational platform for digital culture, art and technology run by SIGNAL Festival. It brings a considerable community of artists, programmers, designers, makers, thinkers, researchers, inventors and producers from all over the world to Prague to share knowledge, experience and ideas.

This first edition covers a wide range of subjects: generative design and digital art, the ethics of algorithms, robotics, new concepts for computer interfaces, DIY and Fab labs, networked collaboration models, and the gender gap in technology. Interactive light installations and case studies from art and technology production are presented and discussed too.

The programme runs to twenty-two talks, six panel discussions, four workshops, AV parties, concerts and a few surprises.

Happily I can spare the time this year to stay in Prague for the whole week. I have never visited the city, so that is a double pleasure.

Alongside the speakers there are four strong workshops, one of them on TouchDesigner, taught by Stanislav Glazov — a real master and part of the Licht team.
